The new drama called Eye Candy starring Nickelodeon’s Victoria Justice aired its first episode Monday, January 12 at 10 PM on MTV. This thrilling show is about a young woman named Lindy, who is being stalked by someone she met on a dating site called Flirtual.

Victoria Justice is also known for starring in the Nickelodeon show, Victorious and being in the show Zoey 101. In an interview, Victoria stated that she was very excited to start the new show because she is tired of being viewed as someone who only does shows for children. As she is growing up now, she’d like to also be viewed that way.

The episode begins with Lindy picking up her little sister, soon after their mom died, and taking her to a fast food place for dinner. While she’s in the car line her sister walks outside from using the bathroom and, while Lindy is trapped in the car, gets kidnapped. Lindy then devoted her life to finding kidnapped people for families by hacking into the law enforcement system to get the victims profile. She is a very skilled hacker.

The scene then drastically changes. After showing Lindy talking to a woman about her missing daughter, it switches to the missing daughter letting her “date” into her apartment, not revealing the identity of the date. After she starts to offer her guest a drink, her words start to blur and the thoughts of the stranger is what you hear instead. He talks about how perfect she looks, but then wait, there’s something wrong with her face. It zooms in on one crooked tooth. The date then says how they all hide their flaws. How they all seem perfect but they really aren’t. The stranger then kills the woman and it then shows kids kicking a ball. The ball rolls under a highway bridge and when the kid runs to retrieve it, it shows the woman’s dead body resting up against a support for the bridge.

While at a club one night, Lindy met a guy named Ben (Daniel Lissing) who she ended up dating, but she was too soon find out that he was a cop that would arrest her for hacking into things. In the start of the show, she gets her anklet removed and she is now free to do what she pleases again. While Ben is still in love with her, Lindy is ready to move on and no longer has feelings for Ben, or so she claims.

In celebration of the lifted probation, Lindy’s best friend, Sophia (Kiersey Clemons) decides to take Lindy to a bar for the night and creates an account on Flirtual, an online dating site where you meet up with people nearby, giving her the code name “Eye Candy” to try and get back out in the dating world after Ben. Throughout the evening, Lindy meets up with three men.

When Lindy leaves the club and is walking home, she receives a text from some random number addressing her as Eye Candy. She begins to become worried since she didn’t give out her number to any of the dates! Panicked, she starts to walk faster when a car comes swerving around the corner and almost hits her. Standing in the middle of the street, she receives another text from the stranger saying “That could have hurt.”

This is only the beginning of the intensity this show goes into. There is action, some violence and a little touch of romance, but highly entertaining. If you are looking for a show that will keep you on edge, this is the one you’ve been looking for. But be warned, this show may not be for the people that become scared easily. For those interested in watching, the show has a new episode every Monday at 10 PM on MTV (Only the first half of the first episode was revealed in this article.)
