“Her”: An Original Poem

Ann Benson, Staff Writer

Dearest Bullies ,

I quiver, when I hear your name.

I try to hide but you find me.

Then you hurt me, yell, and abuse.

Only for me to go home and hurt more.

Don’t you know what goes on behind closed doors?

In my room where I hide, deciding

Do I deserve this life?

What if what you say is true? Am I really what you see?

Over the yelling a screaming through everyday,

I have the courage.

To live through one more painful day.

However.

Tomorrow will be different.

When you approach me tomorrow.

To start your normal routine of rant.

I will stop you.

I will make sure you walk away knowing right from wrong.

I have had enough.

Stop. Stop it all.

What your doing is wrong.

So, knock it off.

Sincerely,

“Her”
