Taylor’s Test Taking Tips

Taylors Test Taking Tips

Josh Taylor, Staff Writer

It’s the end of another year of school, and everyone is excited for summer vacation, but in the back of your head you’re worrying about about all those two day finals in class and Regents you have to come back for. Here are a few tips on how to make the most out of your time to get the best grades.

The first tip is to create a study guide. Creating your own study guide instead of the teachers helps you focus on the material you’re not good with instead of the material you are already confident in. A second tip is to attend all the review sessions you can and take notes on the content you feel you need to study. Organize group study sessions days before the test to give yourself enough time to study.

You won’t be able to memorize all the material at once, balance is key, and remember to take breaks and relax. Another tip to do the best on your test is to get a good  night’s sleep the night before and don’t do the test on an empty stomach. Finally, if you did all this, and a little bit of studying right before the test, you should be all set.
