Braden Barrie, a 22 year old Canadian singer of SayWeCanfly, recently release his 7th Album “Blessed Are Those.” The album “Blessed Are Those” consists of 11 beautiful and heart-touching songs, “There Are No Flowers In Heaven,” “Blessed Are Those,” “I Didn’t Know,” “They’re Calling For Rain,” “Most Of The Time,” “The Space Between Our Eyes,” “Left The Light On,” “Sweetest Heart,” “That Chase,” “Blessed Are Those (Alternate),” and “When We Die.” This album tells a story in each song. All different from the last, whether it be about love, staying strong, or following your dreams, we can always count on this album to cheer us up, or getting stuck in our head.

Here’s a look at some of the songs with a sample of lyrics from each:

There Are No Flowers In HeavenI drowned in the water and the water was cold. Let me take you to the place where I lost my soul. There’s a forest made of shadows and the rivers are deep. Won’t you let go of your body, won’t you come with me?

Blessed Are Those – Take it apart and you’ll find underneath it stars.Flesh and bone made of sapphire. Can you hear me now? Take it apart.Disassemble the hand and the heart.Carve a face in the dim light. Can you hear me now?

I Didn’t KnowI didn’t know how to form my thoughts’ Cause I was so caught up in the way you talked to me I didn’t know going into this Just how much my heart would miss yours Just how much my heart would miss yours.

They’re Calling For RainI found my sketchbook from junior year. My god, I must have been depressed. And I found a picture of that prom that I missed. But god d###, all my friends were so well dressed.

Most Of The TimeMost of the time it takes all I have. And most of the time it feels like I can’t, yeah. When I’m coming home I’m not really coming back. Because most of the time it feels like I can’t.

The Space Between Our EyesSingin’ to you in the back of the van I can’t fix it all but I’ll hold your hand Until the headlights crack and we drive head first For the graves in the yard of this New Jersey church.

Left The Light On- Where do I begin? What do I say, what do I say? Every time I give you something I wither away, whither away. You can find me by the meadow picking my grave, picking my grave. There’s a nice spot by the willow, maybe I’ll stay, maybe I’ll stay.

Sweetest Heart-
I know you’re brave but sometimes it’s hard for you to be. When you’re afraid of something that lives inside of me. I know the weight is heavy and makes you bend your knees. Are you afraid? Well sometimes it’s okay for you to be.

That Chase- Found myself in the water up to my knees. Time won’t slow down for nothin’, not even for me. Lost my soul in the chase now it ain’t worth a thing and I know I was wrong to believe that the stars ever fell down for me.

Blessed Are Those (Alternate)There’s a man with a dark smile And a cloak made of moonlight (silverlight). Pointing into the ocean. Legend lives where the lungs die.

When We Die- When she cries, Sparrows and crows lose their wings. For they’re simply missing the spring. Winter is coming again.
