How To Get Away With Murder: “He’s Made a Terrible Mistake” Review

March 7, 2017
How To Get Away With Murder’s third season is coming to a close, this episode is the first part of the third season’s finale. The main drag for the first half of this season? That would be the fire at Professor Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) house, which leads to the next mystery, a body was pulled from the house, the investigators and paramedics on scene pulled another body out of the house and show Annalise, the other body, which is the dead one, lifting the sheet up. The first body, we will come back to, but the second body is that of Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza), the difference? Laurel is still alive, so the question was who is under the sheet? The answer to that is Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch). So now the main questions are who killed Wes and why?
Last we saw of Connor Walsh (Jack Falahee), his boyfriend, Oliver Hampton (Conrad Ricamora) had uncovered that Connor was lying about the might of the fire and that Connor was present at the house that night. Flash back to the night of the fire, we see Connor doing cpr on Wes.
What is happening now?
Laurel is mad at Connor for not being upfront about being at the house or even calling the police that night. Everyone flips out on Connor for what happened and he feels terrible about it. Annalise defends him, saying that “He has made a terrible mistake.”
The Mahoney’s
Annalise meets with Sylvia Mahoney, the wife of Wallace and father of Charles. She reveals that Wallace isn’t the father of Wes, but that Charles is. Annalise and Sylvia talk, more eor less argue about who is at fault with this murder, that being of Wes Gibbins, who was killed in a fire at Annalise’s house. Laurel seems to think that Charles is at fault for Wes’ murder.
The Blocked Number and the Conclusion
When Oliver hacks Atwood’s information, he discovers a blocked number that Atwood had both called and received calls from the night Wes died.
Connor goes to take Wes’ deal and he deliberates going through with it as he is standing in District Attorney Denver’s office. Someone calls the mystery number that was found and that someone is none other than DA Denver… Connor is then seen with the phone by Denver, who enters the office.
