Made Me Broken: An Original Poem

Made Me Broken: An Original Poem

Karena Ward, Staff Writer

Blood and tears fall from the most honest eyes

Smoke and fire burst from the most angry minds

Silence is broken when you speak it’s name

My mind is silence

Good until broken

My eyes are faucets

Pouring pools of water that drown me

I thought I was safe with you

But you deceived me

You shut me out and told the most believable lies

I found out the truth and your lies were uncovered

I finally saw your face under the mask

You are broken

And that is what you made me
