May 17, 2017
Have you ever asked yourself if you ever wanted to learn a language you were interested in? Like most of the people reading this, you have probably had to take a language in your middle school or high school career. You might still be taking that language. Well, have you ever wanted to learn languages that aren’t offered by the school? These languages include Italian, Dutch, German, Latin, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese, and more! If you want to learn any of these, the new app, Duolingo, is the way to go!
Duolingo is a language learning app and website used for excelling and learning new languages. Whether you are new to the language or have already learned, Duolingo will fit you with your own special language learning path! The best part about it is that it is free to use for many people around the world! Duolingo is very easy to use.
Around the world bilingual and multilingual people are contributing to the app and site. In the site or app you can sign up to be a contributor (helping others held the language). Becoming a contributor allows you to help explain certain lessons and sentences that learners struggle on, and you might even learn something new yourself! Duolingo offers currently 23 languages for you to learn, and 4 languages still “hatching”. When they say hatching they mean still getting ready to launch the language to teach the learners.
Duolingo has millions of learners around the world becoming bilingual and multilingual. Are you ready to learn a new language and have fun? I have used this app for learning Italian and Welsh. In my previous school I took Italian as a language course for one year, then I moved. I truly love Italian and I have made a lot of progress through Duolingo.
When you use Duolingo it makes it like a game and you can complete levels and it slowly increases your knowledge of the language by using percents. Another benefit is that if you use the app while taking a language class, such as Spanish or French, is it can help you get better at it! The Duolingo learning process teaches through hearing you speak, translating sentences, listening exercises and more. So, if you want to learn a language for free try Duolingo, a great way to learn new languages!
