Us; An Original Poem

the thing about us,
is that it’s not you & me.
it’s the person we’ve become when we’re together,
the one that sticks with us when we’re not.

its laugh is a combination of ours,
& when it speaks,
you could pick out our voices.
it walks with ambition.
