Big Brother 20 Week 7 Eviction and Head of Household Competition

Chris Chalker, Student Life Editor

The disastrous Head of Household reign of Haleigh Broucher will finally be brought to an end tonight as it is time for the Week 7 eviction, which means tonight is the end of the line for either Angie “Rockstar” Lantry or Kaycee Clark. To recap the week so far, Haleigh won the “#hastagtoolong” Head of Household Competition. She decided to target Tyler Crispen but wanted to backdoor him so he wouldn’t have a chance to save himself. Instead, Haleigh nominated Angela Rummans and Kaycee Clark for eviction. The houseguests all competed in the second and final Hacker Competition, which was do-or-die for both sides of the house, but ultimately, Kaycee pulled through for Level Six and won, removing herself from the block and nominating Angie Lantry in her place. Kaycee picked Tyler to play in the Veto Competition and Faysal Shafaat and Kaycee Clark were randomly selected to play in the Veto Competition as well. In a close Veto Competition and twi blunders by Angie, Tyler managed to win the Power of Veto and remain safe regardless of what Haleigh’s plans were. Tyler used the Power of Veto to save Angela Rummans from the chopping block and Haleigh nominated Kaycee Clark as the replacement nominee for eviction.

Live Vote and Eviction

In her speech, Kaycee outs the all-girls alliance and says that Rockstar and Haleigh helped recreate it after the first one failed and that they excluded Sam.

In Rockstar’s speech, she puts Tyler, Kaycee, and Angela as a power trio that needs to be broken up.

The live voting went as follows: as always, neither nominee is allowed to vote and neither is the Head of Household, who is only eligible to vote in the event of a tie. One at a time, the houseguest will go to the Diary Room and cast their votes to evict between nominees Kaycee Clark and Angie Lantry. Whoever receives the most votes will be evicted from the Big Brother house.

Faysal Shafaat has been prevented from voting by Kaycee Clark using her last hacker power.

Head of Household Competition- “Glow and Flow”

The remaining houseguests, minus Haleigh as the outgoing Head of Household, now compete in the Head of Household Competition, called “Glow and Flow”. This is the slip and slide ramp competition from past seasons. Houseguests are tasked with filling up their “glow stick” tubes on the other end of the slicked ramp with fluid that is on the opposite side of the ramp, so houseguests must travel from one end of the ramp to the other and fill up their tube. There is also a smaller tube to fill for $5,000. The houseguest to fill the HOH tube and remove their ping pong ball from the tube will be the new Head of Household.

After just 15 minutes, the winner is crowned and that is Faysal Shafaat. This means in all eight weeks of Big brother 20, there has not been a single houseguest to win HOH twice! What will Faysal do as Head of Household and who will he nominate for eviction? Stay tuned for answers.
