Big Brother 20 Week 9 HOH Competition and Nominations
August 26, 2018
Big Brother 20 heads into its ninth week with a new Head of Household taking over, managing outgoing Head of Household (HOH) Faysal Shafaat will be handing over the key to the HOH room to another houseguest. To recap last Thursday’s eviction episode, Scottie Salton, Faysal’s main target last week, was successfully evicted from the Big Brother house by a 6-0, being the first and so far only unanimous vote to evict in this season. With Scottie out of the house, Haleigh Broucher and Faysal are essentially on their own as the Level Six alliance (consisting of members Tyler Crispen, Angela Rummans, Brett Robinson, and Kaycee Clark) continue to dominate the house even when not in power and fellow houseguests JC Mounduix and Sam Bledsoe have been working with them all along. Things don’t look good for Faysal or Haleigh going into this week, but this season has been chock full of crazy and wild things. So who won the “Sweet Shot” Head of Household and who will they nominate for eviction?
Head of Household Competition- “Sweet Shot”
Following Scottie’s eviction, the remaining houseguests, except for Faysal who is the outgoing Head of Household and is Ineligible to compete, will compete in the next Head of Household Competition, called “Sweet Shot”. In this competition, houseguests are tasked with searching through a ball pit and finding tokens to earn themselves a shot on a ramp with obstacles. Houseguests must exchange tokens they find for a ball to use to roll down the ramp and either make it into the “perfect shot” hole or accept a number score from 1-42 depending on where the ball lands off of the ramp. Houseguests can choose to lock in their score should they not earn a perfect shot or toss that score and search for more tokens and continue to try for a higher score or try to land a perfect shot. Should no one achieve a perfect shot by the end of the hour, then whoever has the highest score at the time will be the winner of the competition and will be crowned the new Head of Household.
After 45 minutes, Angela Rummans is able to score a 39 and decides to lock in her score. In the remaining 15 minutes of the competition, despite many managing to score very close to Angela’s score, no one is able to beat her score, meaning Angela is this week’s Head of Household. This also means Angela is the first houseguest to win Head of Household twice in this season! What will Angela do now that she is in power again?
Post-Head of Household Competition
Haleigh walks in on Angela, Tyler Crispen, Brett Robinson, and Kaycee Clark celebrating and begins to speculate that they are an alliance and the deal that she and Faysal made with Tyler and Angela made is not a valid one and they might be targets for the week. Haleigh talks to Faysal and explains what she saw, but Faysal believes that their deal from last week is valid and that Angela will stick to that deal.
Tyler and Angela both have become close and have developed crushes on one another but they’re refusing to act on their feelings until the game is over because a showmance would create a very large target on their backs.
Angela contemplates nominating Sam Bledsoe and Haleigh Broucher for eviction, but JC and Brett believe that they need to play it safe and nominate Faysal and Haleigh outright. Angela sees that this might have to happen in order to ensure one of them goes home this week.
Nominations
Angela has nominated Haleigh Broucher and Faysal Shafaat for eviction. Faysal is blindsided being on the block and says he wishes he took a shot and Tyler, Angela, and Kaycee last week when he had a chance.
Who will win the Power of Veto and will it be used to save either Haleigh or Faysal from eviction? And which houseguest will be evicted this week and have the chance to face off with Bayleigh Dayton, Angie “Rockstar” Lantry, and Scottie Salton for a chance to return to the game in the Jury Battle Back? Stay tuned for those answers.
