January 12, 2016
Nowadays there are so many different television shows out there, the problem is choosing which ones to watch. Do you like fantasy or cop shows, dramas or documentaries? We are going to summarize our favorite shows and maybe you’ll find a new obsession. As teenage girls, we develop small obsessions with things, and ours specifically are T.V. shows. We would like to share these wonderful creations with you.
Cassie’s Take:
One show that is bombarding my life with emotional distress is Once Upon A Time. Here is a brief summary from imdb.com : For Emma Swan, life has been anything but a happy ending. But when she’s reunited with Henry – the son she gave up for adoption ten years ago – on the night of her 28th birthday, everything changes. The now 10-year-old Henry is in desperate need of Emma’s help because he believes from reading a book of fairytales that she’s the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming – who sent her away from the Enchanted Forest to be protected from a curse that was enacted by the Evil Queen. Emma initially refuses to believe a word of Henry’s story but soon finds that his hometown of Storybrooke, Maine is more than it seems. Because it’s in Storybrooke that all of the classic characters we know are frozen in time with no memories of their former selves – except for the Evil Queen, who is Storybrooke’s mayor and Henry’s adoptive mother Regina Mills. Now, as the epic “Final Battle” for the future of both worlds approaches, Emma will have to accept her destiny and uncover the mystery behind a place where fairytales are to be believed. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1843230/plotsummary. This show is like an emotional roller coaster, it will make you happy, sad, and angry at times. But it is all worth it. With a well thought out plot, and skilled actors. I hope you’ll watch this show.
Kalista’s Take:
Well, I kinda have this little obsession with a wonderful show called Supernatural. It’s a twelve season, ongoing show. This is a great summary by the site imdb.com.
By: Tilsen K. The story revolves around two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester as they follow their father’s footsteps, hunting down evil supernatural creatures such as monsters, demons, and even fallen gods while trying to save innocent people along the way. Continuing the “family business” after their father’s death, the brothers soon discovered that the “hunt” doesn’t just involve slashing and hacking monsters and demons but also dealing with more powerful creatures such as angels, reapers, and even Death. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460681/plotsummary?item=ps0859843
Adding on to that, the writers of Supernatural are great at creating characters, and the actors/actresses are even better at portraying them. The show is a little gory, but is totally worth the watch. I personally love the fandom behind the show too. They’re not just a fandom, they’re a family. Supernatural isn’t just a show about monster slaying though, it’s about the love of two brothers, and the sacrifices they are willing to give for each other. The fact that family doesn’t end with blood. This show will make you cry, but will have you laughing till you can’t anymore. And that’s why I love this show.
