Wejko’s Worldview: Iranian Insolence

Wejko's Worldview: Iranian Insolence

Iran is a nation mired with religious fervor and hatred for the American people, government and policy. They have no separation of church and state, they are allied to many terrorist organizations, and still Obama thought it a solid idea to help them fund a nuclear program? This isn’t a nation who is led by a president, even though they have one, it’s led by their equivalent of a pope, Ayatollah Khamenei.

Now a little bit about the Ayatollah Khamenei; he was originally brought to power through a way we all know that is effective, a religious coup d’etat. He was made the official Supreme Leader in 1989. Since then the good Ayatollah consistently threatened Israel, offered to help any nation who declares war on them, declared they would raze Tel Aviv, and has an overall hatred and disgust in the Hebrew faith. Iran and other Muslim nations have nothing but absolute contempt for the United States, they have been known to chant “Death to America” and burn our flags, burn representations of our leaders, and our democracy. Some followers of their ideology hate ours.

So the question is, what are our options for dealing with Iran, and how do we do it in a not dangerous or horrific way? In today’s day and age, wars are no longer alway fought in a conventional way, they are fought by words and views to sway the public. So a war with Iran, which seems like it might be happening soon enough with all of the posturing and ballistic missile tests, will be a war for the hearts of the people. Of course, it could also quickly go nuclear.

So, do we have a reason to go to war with the Islamic Republic of Iran? A simple answer to that question is yes. Iran has not only been linked to the 9/11 attacks, but they also have been spotted buying intercontinental ballistic missiles from the North Koreans, another enemy of the United States. People argue that a nation with nuclear capabilities cannot be invaded due to the threat a WMD could be detonated. There is no conclusive evidence they have weapons of mass destruction, only that they are in production, which is hands down the most important of our issues in Iran.
So what are the possible consequences of Iran’s actions? Iran is already leading the pack in supporting terrorist organizations and will most likely proceed doing that. They have been outspokenly in support of Osama Bin Laden, Al qaeda and many organizations killing U.S. citizens. Why wouldn’t they? Many citizens of the country were raised to hate Americans, Jews and, any supposed “enemy” of Islam. The government who supports terrorism supports the murder of Israelis and Middle Eastern Christians publicly. Now, the nation I just described has $400 Million in ransom money from a recent hostage crisis, and $150 Billion in funding to build a nuclear program, which ultimately could be turned into a means to destroy us.
