i wish you could see yourself the way i do.

because if you could,
you’d realize the sky is blue for you,
& you give the stars a reason to twinkle.
the grass grows to reach you,
& the flowers whisper your name as you walk over them.
the sun rises every morning to watch over you,
until the moon gets restless for her turn.
the wind howls for its longing to touch you once more,
& the rain gets jealous,
creating the storm.

-don’t believe any different
