Apple has announced its latest release of the new and improved iPhone 6 and the innovative Apple Watch. Compared to the iPhone 5, IPhone 5c and iPhone 5s, the IPhone 6 has several more advanced features. These features included a better Retina display, longer battery life, a more powerful camera and iOS 8. The iPhone 6 is also longer, thinner and lighter weight than previous versions of the iPhone.

There is a second version of the iPhone called the iPhone 6 plus that is a larger size and has even more advanced features. You can purchase the iPhone 6 for around $200 and the iPhone 6 plus for around $300.

The second product Apple is expected to release in 2015 is the Apple Watch. This watch does far more than just keep accurate time. It will have many of the same apps as the iPhone with the ability to receive calls, send text messages and utilize the navigation app.The Apple Watch also is updated with iOS 8 and is very customizable. The watch is considered more convenient because it can be worn on your wrist. The watch is especially useful for athletes with all of the new health related apps that are more accurate than having a phone in your pocket.

Nowadays people feel the need to always be up to date with their technology, so once these devices hit the market demand will be very high. Based on multiple interviews with students and staff at Weedsport Jr. /Sr   High School, it seems that the iPhone 6 will be more popular.

During one interview, with freshman Chris Stricklin said,

“The iPhone is popular and the iWatches (Apple Watches)  aren’t, and I think the iWatch is more expensive, so most people are going to go for the iPhone 6.”

People tend to favor what they know, and as Chis indicated, the iPhone is loved and the Apple Watch is a brand new product.

While interviewing history teacher Mr. Smith, he stated,

“I think the iPhone 6 is going to be more popular because it is going to be more practical for a student to have a phone and spend hundreds of dollars on a phone rather than for a watch… If you had to purchase one or the other I am sure it would be the phone because is more practical and you can do more with it.”

One of the most appealing new features of the iPhone 6 is the larger screen. Not only is the iPhone more practical and popular, watches are not commonly worn by teenagers. The general consensus is that the iPhone 6 wins out over the Apple Watch among Weedsport students and teachers.
