With spring break and summer coming up it’s time to find bathing suits that look good, and most importantly, make you feel good. It feels like every store is too expensive and you have to spend your whole paycheck getting a decent bathing suit – but that’s not the case.
Shopping for clothes can be difficult all year, but the one thing that is the hardest is swimsuits – especially for women. The tops are always too big or too small, the bottoms show too much skin, the design isn’t what you were looking for, they don’t have the right size, the material isn’t the greatest, or they just aren’t making you feel like the best version of yourself. Either way that all comes to an end. The Johnny Green interviewed students on where they shop for swimsuits, the cheapest place, and more.
The first step when finding a good bathing suit is knowing where to look. When Weedsport students were asked where they shop for bathing suits online everyone had said SHEIN. For in-store options – Eris Clark, Kaylee Champion, and Kaylor Delapp all said Target was a good place to shop; while Finley Mana and Grace Barreto said they prefer to shop at Hollister, White Fox, Zumiez, and American Eagle.
The second step is figuring out what color makes you feel good or just what colors are trending. Daisy Milton and Ayla Stark both felt the best colors to wear during the summer were pink or orange. If pink and orange aren’t colors you love, then blue was another popular color students gave to wear over the summer.
Now that you know what colors are trending, you can pick the style you are looking for. Bikini was a popular style liked by Weedsport students. But other than bikinis there are many different styles. Ayla Stark says she likes a square neckline top, while Finley Mana expressed she likes ones that cross and have an open back. On the other hand, Daisy Milton says she likes a triangle top but floral design.
Now with everything you have learned you too can find a bathing suit this spring break or summer season that makes you feel good about yourself.
