WHS Lip Dub

WHS+Lip+Dub

This year Weedsport will be having what is known as a “Lip-Dub”. This is basically a video in which everyone in the school will participate in a song, being lip-synched by everyone while the camera moves along a path lined by students representing their respective sports teams and academic clubs

The lip dup will involve everyone in the school, including students, staff, administrators and custodians. The planning of this lip dub is open to high school students only. If you want to get involved the easiest way is to spread the news of the lip dub to your friends and classmates, help make signs, costumes hallway decorations etc.

If you are a high school student you can help by becoming a part of the planning committee which takes place in Mr. Anderson’s room and will be announced over the speaker during the morning announcements.

The date of the filming is April 11th, the day before spring break.  According to information given out by Mr. Anderson, the lip dub will be made up of nine different zones. These zones will way out the path the camera will take. The lip dub committee will divide the student body and all of the clubs and teams into these various zones as well as what part they will perform in the lip dub.

The songs chosen have been The Best Day of my Life by American Authors, Street Beat by the WCS Drum Corp. and one or two more that have been yet to be decided. Each zone will be organized before the final version will be filmed.

In order for this event to work, we encourage students and staff to participate and help out. If you have any questions about the lip dub or wants to know some other ways you could help out with the project, feel free to ask Mr. Anderson, or any other member of the lip dub committee.
