The Death of the Wii U

There has been a recent announcement that Nintendo will be shutting down their production of the beloved console, the Wii U. It has only been four years since its release and many great games including but not limited to Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros and many more.

Before this announcement Nintendo released the first of many teasers for their new console coming out in march 2017. I am sad to see that Nintendo basically disowned this console and its predecessor the Wii by saying motion control was a step in the wrong direction. There will always be room on my shelf of consoles for this diamond in the rough.

This is good for the fans who didn’t really like the Wii U because they can trade in their Wii U and games for cash or to put money towards *cough* *cough* the Nintendo Switch.

If you still have your Wii U you can still play the new games coming out in 2017 but not for much longer. So if you guys so happen to find one for reasonably cheap this holiday season, you should snag it because they might be worth a little bit in the future.
