With spring finally arriving, varsity spring sports are beginning. The Johnny Green spoke with some varsity athletes about their goals and thoughts for the upcoming season. 

Softball: 

Deanna Jackson (left) shares with us, “My goal this year is for our team to make it to sectionals and improve on my skills.” Jackson has played softball through most of her life and is looking forward to continuing in her junior year of high school. Maddie McNabb (right) is playing her final year of softball. McNabb hopes the team makes it to sectionals as well. 

Track: 

Elena Amodei has competed in track since 7th grade till now – her junior year. Amodei tells us that Mr. Lawler and her teammates have helped her learn and grow throughout her different seasons. “I am looking forward to team bonding the most.”

Baseball: 

Nico Giacolone is on varsity baseball as a freshman! “I am looking forward to pitching as a varsity as a ninth grader.” Giacolone is very passionate about baseball and is excited about this upcoming season.
